Lanzarote Sport fishing.

    Hi all, As the title suggests I am heading to Lanzarote in August, and was wondering if any of you have gone on the sport fishing trips out there and what was your experience like?I have searched online but all I get is the companies promoting themselves, would appreciate an honest review.Thanks in advance.Wowbagger

    Do some good solid research before you go.

    Find out what tackle they're using and if the bait is already on board. If possible see if you can find out where you'll be going to fish. Lastly booze on board? Nothing wrong with it if that's what you're into, I wouldn't.

    My last experience was in Fuerteventura, we had to fish for the bait first, took ages because the small lines where crap and the sea was so rough there was genuine concern that someone was going to go over (the skipper can't do anything about the waves, but he can limit the numbers aboard!). It was a spur of the moment decision to go and against my better judgement.

    My best advice, try to find a brit or a german skipper! They at least have an idea of what you want, the locals seem to think all the tourists want is to be able to say they've been sports fishing.
