    Hi,

I have been looking at the websites and am confused. My husband is looking at BTEA with the social welfare but really wants to do automotive mechanics. We have been researching everything and are confused, so I thought I would ask ye in the know.

Would he be allowed do an apprentiship as he has been unofficially approved, I just wanted to ask can anyone clarify can he do an apprentiship as an mechanic.. would he be approved ?

    Thanks in advance.

Assuming that the apprenticeship is through FAS he wouldn' be approved for BTEA to the best of my knowledge as apprenticeships have their own wage associated with them.

You could always find ot who the jobs facilitator is in your area and ring them as they can give you a definate yes or no.
