Should people who live in cardboard boxes be made to get a BER rating?

If everyone else has to get one, why should the homeless get away scot free?

It seems to me that they are BER rating fraudsters & should be held accountable.

The money generated by this would help stimulate the economy etc.

If the boxes Belong to a business which has limited liability of its owners, should these people pay a premium for these Corporate Boxes?

Why should our friendly travelling community get out of the impending property tax?

Watch them throw on the caravan tax as a few ordinary people give up the brick box for a caravan or mobile home but until then there won't be any.

Thought you only needed a BER if renting or selling ?

Does this mean they will be listed as being at a fixed abode in future ?

Will they have to pay the €100 home tax ?

I'm amazed more homeless people haven't claimed squatters rights on my dogs house.

    That's a modest proposal.

Given that they are homeless, I'd say it's fairly safe to assume that they don't have a whole lot of money to contribute

There's a difference between making fun of the less fortunate & starting a thread that is obviously a piss take of the doom & gloom / Joe Duffy / ways of taxing or jailing people type threads that pop up here every day.

Taking the piss out of the less fortunate has no humour value to me, but I'm sure that even a homeless person wouldn't take offense to this thread. Some of them might even find it amusing.

    They will ignore it anyway.

Do you really know anything about BER ratings? The answer I've given is pertinent to the OP's question. Your's is not. Try and lighten up a little :)
