I remember watching this guy before he became an 'I can't be assed to play for 200k a week at crappy Man City' celebrity; I think it was in the world cup before the last one.

He scored a fine solo goal for the argies and I said he will be good.

Well, he was good, but he also became an absolute spanner of a player.

I used to like football back in the 80s, classic games like Luton and arsenal at Wembley spring to mind. Proper players, proper passion and no one were arguing about how much they got per week.

When players like teves can’t be bolloxed to play for 'crappy' Man City for peanuts salary of 200k a week, what hope is there?

The beautiful game has been transformed over the course of a few decades in to an absolute farce IMO.

It needs a radical overhaul; the German bundesliga is a good starting point.

As for Messer’s teves, he just needs to be brought into a dressing room, given a good knee in the nads and told to cop the F**k on a small bit, it what I would do.

SAF is an astute manager, and he was not long spotting who he was dealing with and shown him the door.

I hope he rots in the reserves for city for the whole season, who knows they might give him a pay rise to keep him happy.

Because he isn't happy there and would rather live somewhere he likes?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Tevez's problem is that he appears to be constantly whinging about wanting to move away from City.

That said, he's a fantastic player and does appear to always put in 100% when he plays. City wouldn't have made 4th in the league without him last season.

Quality players like Veron, Crespo & Shevchenko all failed to 'settle' in England and flopped.
Tevez is not 'settled', yet still put in what 4-5 years of proving himself as one of the top strikers in the world in the Premier League. Not very easy to do, just look at the examples above (among many, many others).
The man has done well to last in England this long without dropping his head, he's obviously felt it is enough and wants to return to his family.
He never played for my club so Utd/City fans (pretty sure West Ham fans would be fond of him) may feel differently to myself, but I feel he is definitely in the top 5 strikers in the world, his work rate is phenomenal, and he should be applauded for his efforts.
    Fair play to him.
