Anti-Catholic Sentiment on After Hours

It's actually out of control. From calling Pope Benedict XVI an "animal" to stating that "anyone who goes to Mass and puts money in the collection plate is as bad as a child abuser". I suppose it's par for the course on a Monday afternoon.

I'm as disgusted as anyone by paedophile/ephebophile clergy, but what's just as disgusting is the hatred and bigotry directed towards Catholics in 2011. It's almost like being a Jew in the 1930s.

This about child abuse and protecting children - not about ridiculing someone else's religious beliefs.

*waits for someone to butt in with smarmy references about sky fairies/gay "marriage"/abortion/priests marrying/women priests/persecution complex/etc."

Would the "This is After Hours" comment be a valid reason?

Now that's just unfortunate that you said that.

Oh yeah, anti-Catholicism - the last acceptable predjudice. Justified by the fact that it's on "After Hours".

It's directed towards the organisation the Catholic Church, not regular people who are Catholic. To them it's bewilderment that they can support such a horrible organisation that is usually expressed.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Bit hard to pre-judge an organisation already found guilty of child rape, I mean "abuse".

This is nearly as bad as the guy on the religion in schools thread. We're not out to get catholics, 95% of us were born catholic, stop being so damned paranoid.

You're completely correct, peoples vitriol towards the continued shameful behaviour of the catholic church is exactly comparable to the instutionalised Antisemitism and following attempted genocide of the Jewish people in 30's Germany.
There is nothing the slightest bit over dramatic or thoughtlessly crass about your comparison at all and i thank you for bringing this real concern to the attention of us all.

Once upon a time a gay sky fairy got married to a priest. The ceremony was carried out by a woman who had an abortion and a persecution complex.

    That ok?

Pope Benedict XVI is an animal.
And to some people, catholic beliefs are as mental as scientology beliefs and deserve to be laughed at.

I have nothing against the good catholic faith - just organisations that has/is using it to its own twisted ends.

There is a separation of the two above at times - some just can't see it - or don't want to.

I think we should make big wooden T-shaped structures and nail all the whining Catholics to them.

Reporting posts actually helps the moderators URL, I can tell you for a fact it's never looked upon as ratting anyone up.

Looked in the other thread. You appear to be trying to bring an anti-common fcuking sense sentiment to after hours.

We're the first generation that will (hopefully) see a significant decline in the church's power after it held the country in a vice grip of repression and ignorance, for years. Some celebratory vitriol is to be expected :)

It may not be viewed that way by mods, but that's how it looks when someone replies on thread that they're going to report a poster.. especially with the wording used. I doubt the guy is doing it to help out the mods.. he appears to be doing it to get one over on the OP.
