Hiace - can't find one..

I've been looking everywhere for a silver Toyota Hiace but can't find one.

Have tried Donedeal, Autotrader, Ebay, Beepbeep, usedcarsni, toyota.ie to no avail.

There are some on the Toyota UK used vehicle website but they're expensive: £9000stg plus VAT for a 2009 model! There would then be VRT also payable at the car rate since the flat fee was abolished.

    Has anyone any suggestions?

    Sliver ones are rare.

VRT of €200 should still apply. If a Hi-Ace van isn't a category C vehicle I don't know what is.

Have one due back to me off lease, on the 6th September 2014, but I suspect you might not be able to wait that long....

You need to ask Hosanna. Hosanna in the Hiace.

No point limiting your choice to a silver one, if one finally shows up it could be a total dog or well over budget for the year/mileage.

I know where you're coming from, I use Hiace vans at the mo and prefer them in red but I would never limit myself to a basic choice of colour (or indeed make of van).

In the meantime you should get quotes for the price of a wrap or of a basic respray of the outside of the van, could be quicker and a lot cheaper in the long run.

    Yes. In short, ford transit.

Hiace didnt sell so good from the mid 00's on. Not that there was anything wrong with them, just that they were old fashioned next to a Transporter, Vivaro or Vito. But now everyone knows how good they are. Thats why theres not too many around for sale, and those fetch big money and sell fast. I sold an old one lately, had cash in the hand 12 hours after putting ad up.

I can't get a definitive answer on this - is a percentage fee based on the OMSP or a fixed fee of €200?

I'd be 99% sure that the Hi-Ace qualifies as a category C commercial and is therefore €200 flat fee for VRT.
