    hi all i am new to caravaning recently i bought a caravan in need of small repair not much but i am wondering is there a special paint in need to paint the outside of it also does it have to be waterproof..here is the one i bought

    You're probably better off giving it a good scrub and then polishing it with T-Cut or something like that. I enquired about a spray job and would cost multiples of the value of the 'van. Also there's a theory that it would be very hard to get the new paint to stick on.

    So rub a dub, and hand paint as best you can any major marks (or get a few stickers or something).

    You're brave buying one so cheap. Doesnt look too terrible though considering.
    I had a 1970s caravan once, a small 2 berth in a two tone colour scheme, very stained white with that horrible old green colour that a lot of them were. I swapped a ropey escort van for it from some travellers. It was mighty dodgy and had quite a few leaks but i needed somwhere to sleep while staying up at a friend's place while we were doing some work about the place. Some silicone sealant and heavy duty tape sorted the leaks and rattles. Wasn't exaclty pretty though

    I have no idea, i assume it'd have to be something like the paint used for fibreglass boats or something
