Not sure if its just me but nearly all the UK sellers I am coming across seem not to offer shipping to Ireland... mostly looking at golf and gadget stuff but there seems to me to be a huge increase in those only offering shipping to UK?? I contacted one seller and he had no problem shipping to Ireland for the same cost as UK but he wasn't aware that Irish buyers couldn't bid on his item... just wondering if ebay have changed there default shipping for uk sellers>> or if anyone else has noticed this

It's always been like that, I just contact the seller and ask for the postage cost for Ireland. It is a pain in the hole though.

From past experiences, I would say that this is mostly due to postage costs. There is a major difference in National and International fees. Add to this the fact you are looking at bulky Golf items, the seller will usually see that there isn't any profit to be made. :(

Also do a test bid early as some sellers may have a block on overseas bidders which they may or may not be aware of, they usually lift this when asked to do so.

It's very annoying when the product shows up in the .ie site. I also think they take advantage of postage.

I asked two sellers, same exact item, one seller 1.49 and another 7.37 sterling. Same exact item.

I agree - if they don't want to ship to Ireland why does it show up on the .ie site?? I also agree bout the variations in shipping!

one might be doing by some sort of fancy pants registered, recorded, signatuure required, £500 insurance included, post for safety.
some uk sellers live in their own little bubble, and assume all ebay member outside the UK to be pure evil

Yeah and then some of them say UK only, but then a lot of them still think Ireland is in the UK so you dont know what the hell...

Had a transaction cancelled on me on saturday. Was only for a polo shirt. Paid him and all. Got an email sunday morning saying he wouldn't post to Ireland.

    Raging.

    Wouldn't mind but i've almost 200, 100% feedback.

Some sellers are sound and will post but you'll get stung big time for postage, ebay.co.uk is so much better than .ie for stuff.
