    ****Urgent ******

My daughters laptop was stolen last Saturday night in Ballybough. Unfortunatley it contained her Masters Dissertation which is due for submision in three weeks.

The information on the laptop is useless to anyone else but priceless to her.

Has anyone been offered a cheap Apple Mac Pro???

If you have the serial number and if your daughter has a mobileMe account you should contact apple, they might be able to see if it has been online.

Also keep an eye on ebay, adverts.ie and other selling sites for similar models.

It could also be a case that they try sell it on to a pawn shop or second hand store.

I'm in a similar situation myself. My girlfriends mac was stolen and she lost her thesis.

did she have any software installed on the machine like dropbox? or something that might link up to an account when the computer goes online again?

I would also suggest taking a look at this http://preyproject.com/
for the future, I really hope you get some help.

I'd love to be able to help more, but I cant really make any helpfull comments unless i knew about any sort of remote software she might have on the laptop.
