Do aer lingus flight prices drop closer to flight date??

    basically booked flights for other half and daughter to paris in october a while back, was €90 each at the time, want to add son to the booking but flight gone up to nearly €200, so do their prices ever decrease or will it only go up,

    usually only if the plane is half empty, and if it goes down it will be a dip and increase sharply as the departure is very close

    Ps - since you already have seats on the plane, try changing seat and see how full it is, not sure if you can try this without completing and hence paying though I suspect you can

    It all depends on the profile of the flight.

    If they have already sold enough seats, the prices will stay at the level they are at...otherwise, they may come down in time

    For October....I'd give it another few weeks and keep checking, there's still plenty of time.

    thanks for replies, know there quiet a few other families booked on same flight for trip to disneyland so could be quite full, i'll give it a couple of weeks all the same. there's hardly a site that monitors the price of flights save putting in details every time

    www.skyscanner.ie will (usually) remember your last searched flight details each time you return
