Last picture show/ RTE

Do you remember the last picture show that RTE would have on before they screened movies ? Brian Reddin was the name of the person who would introduce the movie if memory serves me correct. I remember him introducing the film M*A*S*H one Friday evening back in May 1996. Not sure why I recall that particular detail ! :D

i do remeber it, after The late late show every friday night. it wasn't as good as Moviedrome on BBC 2 (they showed more obscure and cult films) while the last picture showed more well known films. But it was great to be told facts on the film you were about to see.They need to bring back a show like this.

I recall we discussed it on here fairly recently? Aired following News Extra in a slot around midnight on RTÉ One. Originally presented by Brian Reddan. It lasted years, but was renamed at some point to something else.
