Hi, Headin to Vegas and California shortly and need to persuade my super casual BF to get a pair of trousers to wear out that are not jeans...he is a jeans and shirt/polo/rugby shirt kinda guy...
I would like some ideas of trousers/shirt combo he could wear to casinos, clubs ,nice restaurants etc..He has suit and shirt trousers for work but thats too formal...
He's a very broad, barrel chested, narrow bottom half guy..who detests shopping..Any ideas of whats in shops now would be great so i can pick something up for him..Thanks a mil :D

Wait til you get to Vegas, the shopping is great there!

Try chinos- most of them are cut like jeans now, but pair them with a shirt and some smarter shoes and you're good to go, they're just as comfy and hard wearing if you ask me...

    I second chinos.

The casinos are very casual, you can get dressed up if you want but you'll see plenty of people strolling around in all sorts. If you're going in the next few weeks it is usually absolutely scorching this time of year so you'll both probably spend most of your day in shorts!

A lot of the restaurants are smart/casual so chinos would be fine unless the restaurant has a very formal dress code.

Some dark, flat colour, indigo jeans would be nice, with a shirt and sleeve rolled up. Still casual as they're denims, but a little more dressed up. You don't want him to be conscious of what he's wearing or to feel uncomfortable. Levi's are the best for men IMO, so wait until you get there and they'll be half the price than at home!

As mentioned, it will be really hot during the day!! But if you're going to casinos/bars/restaurants in the evening the air con means you could wear jeans.
