Has anybody gotten a cost effective way of saving down your iPhone SMS messages onto a Windows PC?

I've googled in all evening and downloaded a few trial versions of some programs from download.com but nothing is working. I've got texts from 3 years ago that I need to search/save as "load earlier message" is taking me hours

Thanks in advance for any help.

    I use iPhone Backup Extractor €18 - http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/
Extracts SMS (and lots of other stuff) from the backup file on your PC ans saves them to an excel spreadsheet.

quickest way is to screen grab them to camera roll. Home and sleep button together. Might work if you only have a few you need to record. then email them or back up photos to PC

They are 3 years ago. Takes hours to go back, then if u get a call or a butterfly flaps in Japan, you're back to square one!

@Tazium have you used this before? I've got a Windows 7 starter laptop and can't find the application data folder? I'm falling at the first hurdle!

    It's hidden by default.
    Open your profile folder.
    Click 'Organise'.
    Click 'Folder and search options'.
    Click 'View' tab.
Select 'Show hidden files, folders and drives'.
    Click 'Apply' and 'Ok'.

Thanks, discovered this late last night by typing "application data access denied" into Google!

FYI: I used the SQLite route to get into the information. It's a bit more techy and doesn't produce a clean PDF, but everything is produced in csv or xls format and you just have to formulate your way through the matrix of numbers! Definately a free route that works though!
