Interrailing-Travel Insurance

    Hey dudes, just wondering is it the norm to take out travel insurance for interrailing (4 weeks) Cheers!

    I remember a few years back something called an E11 form used get you health care in any EU country if you were on holidays. You should look into that.

    As for SA and Oz. I would, just in case you break both your legs in Argentina or something. I always gets insurance just in case.

    It's something that is often discussed here, and no one seems to know what company is good. But Blue are bad and so far I've no complaints with World Nomads.

    Its not the e11 form anymore but the european health insurance card. Had it handy when i broke my wrist ice-skaing in munich and just flashed it in the hospital and everything was sorted. You can apply for it online i think and they post it out to you http://www.ehic.ie/

    Yeah i would also get proper travel insurance for the oz leg as just added security for yourself...you never know what will happen!!

    Just make sure you give your insurance details to someone else before you travel. I get mine by email and send them on.

    If you're in a coma someone will be shelling out thousands for you if they don't know you have insurance!
