    I'm looking for a laptop with the following (or close)

    Intel Core i5 2410m
    4gb RAM or more
    7,2000 rpm Hard Drive (anything above 200GB would do)
    Geforce GT 525M or equivalent

    for in or around the 700-750 mark.

    As an extra consideration, am willing to buy from UK either (even if it means getting delivery to a UK address to get free delivery), but I can claim VAT back if I buy from Ireland, so buying from the UK might not be cheaper.

    I was looking at the Dell XPS 15 here which fits what I'm looking for pretty much exactly, and with the VAT taken off and a 10% off coupon comes in under 700. However, I've read the screen is woeful, and that it's pretty much pointless getting it without upgrading to a 1920x1080 screen, which is an extra 200 and pushes it out of my price range.

    Is there anything else out there that meets (or beats!) the above spec in the price range mentioned?


    edit: would also love to hear from anyone who has the XPS 15 with the default screen and what they think of its quality.
