MBP mid 2010 or MBA current model 13"?

    I am about to purchase a mac laptop and I am wondering which would be the best option. I can get the MBP for €807 or the MBA for €892.

    Both are the 13" models.

    I'm new to macs so im not sure if getting the air just for the weight is is a good idea, considering battery life and processing power

    I personally would favor the air. Hold of a couple off weeks as updates are due to hit the store

    It's a pretty straightforward choice. Either you need the extra portability or you don't. Personally I don't like the 13-inch Air. Given the price, I don't think the extra portability is enough to justify the sacrifice in specs, battery life, optical drive, etc. I much prefer the 11-inch.
