    National Mileage Register

    Mileage Entered 71000 Miles

NMR Result Previous Discrepancy Additional mileage records should be sought and forwarded to Cartell. Full service history required prior to purchase. Please contact Cartell for further information

I've got the rough milleage which was advertised as 71000. Just wondering how they actually do a mileage test, and could the issue above be due to me not being specific, or entering in miles, where its actually in kilometers or something? Is there something I can check when I go to the garage to buy, that will clarify the car has not been clocked etc?

    Thanks for your help guys.
    J.

That mileage would have been entered by the garage when they transferred the car into their stock.
Only way to know the mileage is a verified service history.

Ring Cartell tomorrow and ask them. They generally tell me if it looks like the km/miles thing. If the discrepancy has cropped up on the car more than once then alarm bells should ring! Recently I advertised a car with 92000 kms. The last dealer (who I bought it off) advertised it at the exact 92445. Cartell pull the info from carzone, so that could be the problem, and often is.
