Tube size question

Just a quick question on tube sizes.

My bike has 700x23c tyres, so I got a few spare tubes to sort a puncture which were 700x18/23c, thinking that would be the right size.

Took off the punctured tube and realised the size of the tubes on the bike were actually 700x18/25c.

Should i only use the 25c size or does it matter which size tube I use?

    Thanks.

It shouldn't matter but I found on my old bike(23x700c) going with the size leading up to the 23(ie. 18-23) lasted a lot longer than the size coming down (23-26/28).

It will be fine, tubes come in a range of sizes and as long as your tyre width is within the range specified on the tube it will work. You can even get away with ones that are a bit outside the range in a pinch, tubes are flexible and it is not that exact a fit.

Great, thanks for that guys, just wasn't really sure whether or not it made any difference or not. Lashed it in anyway and as you both said did the trick! :D
