:)We are going to Paris for the 1st time for 3 nights in early September. We are not into visiting museums, galleries, etc. but would like to see all the sights. Is there a hop on hop off bus tour that somebody could recommend? We will be there during the All Ireland Hurling Final, can anybody advise of an Irish Bar that shows GAA matches? Thanks.:)

Try Corcorans near Place De Clichy... or possibly O'Sullivans right beside the Moulin Rouge. That should sort yiz out for the small ball final.

Up The Dubs et Bon Voyage !

Not sure about Hop On Hop off but I used the metro....its not the easiest one to navigate but it is do-able... I did all the sights using it anyway !!

the metro is great! I found it handy enough to get around on it but there is also a river cruise that you can hop on and off for the day and its takes you to all the sights. Its 8 or 9 euro for the day. Well worth it as its nice to drift down the river for a while

There's a hop on, hop off boat trip down the Seine might be worth doing! :)

    Have a great time.... I'm jealous! :p

The metro is the only way to travel, i would highly reccomend getting yourself a Paris viste card as it will allow you on metro as much as you want and on the RER trains to everywhere including disney land, airports , versailles .

What area are you staying in ?

The hop on and off batobus river boat on the seine is quite expensive for what you get , if budget is tight its not worth it imo .

If you get the paris viste card and use it going to and from airport and for all sight seeing it would be the best investment you could make.

Sure paris has a lot more to offer than just museums , if museums arent your thing you can just vistit the basic sightseer stuff like eifell , arc du triomph, notre dam, the catacombs, along with versailles gardens , disneyland is at least a day in itself, along with shopping etc if you have the cash

That's a zone 1-5 ticket. There's also the much cheaper 1-3, which I think is better value. 1-3 won't get you to Disneyland.

Better value still is the Mobilis. The only difference is it doesn't include the tourist discounts in certain places. I don't personally know how useful these are, as I've never used a Paris Visite and rarely a Mobilis (normally Navigo).

The Fifth Bar, 62 Rue Mouffetard will have the match.
    Metro - Monge.

Its not a bad wee pub and nowhere near as expensive as the ones around Rue St Denis.

There is a hop on hop off bus, there is several companies doing them, you can get a 1day or a two day ticket. The two day is better value I think, you can do the full day tour the first day and then go back the second day for a more detailed look at places of your choice. Also beware, if you are useing an AIB laser card, they have cut the daily cash withdrawl limit for abroad from €600 to €200.

The full zone paris visite is brilliant value if you use it to and from the airport or disney land and use the metro to get around paris , it pays for itself in no time and they are easy to pick up.
