If it were me I'd buy the lenovo laptop. I personally feel lenovo have better build quality then samsung. In relation to the vat thing is that for companies you mean? As I dont thing regular consumers can knock off the VAT as we're part of the eu.

Bought that model Lenovo 2 days ago, got it without the VAT, waiting on it to be delivered :)

Right, I think I'll have to get on that boat Monday morning.
I can't believe that dell will pass up good business...although I have been dealing with a call centre in india that keep on telling me to ring dell ireland and I keep telling them I want a model on the dell uk outlet only !

Holy Jesus, look at that Lenovo! What a find. Doubt we'll see better than that this side of the pond.

I've been utterly frustrated with how the pricing here compares to the States when it comes to finding a good i5 with a decent graphics card too.

I've been very close to buying this, which doesn't have the graphics card; http://www.dabs.ie/products/lenovo-g570-core-i5-2410m-4gb-500gb--dvd-rw-15-6--windows-7-home-premium-7FR4.html?refs=466560000-51340000

Again, a Lenovo for a great price... but the lack of graphics card was putting me off. But this Lenovo is looking like an instant buy.

Without the VAT? How'd you manage that?

Ordering it through a company, which has an irish registered VAT number.

Ah, thanks for that. I'm sure I'll still buy it at full price.

My plan originally, but my budget was €600, and i could get a very good laptop for that, but if i got the VAT off, i can get an even better spec laptop within my budget.

    Worth looking into anyway :)

Is it a "who you know" thing, or can you just find something online that lets you do it?

Would the Lenovo having no USB3 connection not be a problem? I seen this lappy a week ago and that put me off.

Blitz - How much did you pay for that bad boy?
Will that replace the current hard drive?
Will it quicken it up by much?

For the record, I ordered that Lenovo last night. No doubt I'll be on here talking about in "up to 4 business days".
