I think you mean 3 series, e30 were replaced in 91 by e36.

Ive had 2 e36's and while I like some of the newer shapes and wouldnt mind moving up in the years, I have a soft spot for the e30 too. I heard that they were the last of the "bulletproof" bmws, that everything after that was cheaper more disposable parts etc. That could be bs, anyone able to enlighten me?

318is is the one to go for if your on s budget, 1.8engine 140bhp, decent performance & economy. Otherwise 325i

The e36s are a cracking car too, i had a 95 one for a few years, like all BMWs they have a cracking driving position, super comfy too, i think the shape will continue to age quiet nicely, i had alway wanted a e30 too but as the years drag on i think i'd be happy to settle for another e36 or 2........they are heavy maintenance but parts are cheap and they are very easy to work on yourself

Its had not to find super value in something like this

Is it the e30 r the e36 ur on about.just be aware that the heads are very soft on the e30 well the 325 model anyway but a piece of p**s to do anything with the e36 is a great car to apart from the bottom ball joints and wishbone bushes oh and rear metal brake pipes
