I have Vista 32 bit running on a HP DV5 series. In the last 24 hours a problem has emerged. Windows will open. But after 30 or 40 seconds freeze up. BUT I can still move the mouse Icon. I can click away but nothing responds. I've tried using system restore. But it hasnt helped. As far as Im aware there have been no recent system updates, and I havent instaleed any new software. For obious reasons I cant run a anti virus or mal ware check. So can anybody help. Im afraid Im not very tech savey. SO baby steps. Thanks guys

Uh oh, Ive just tried to get into Safe mode. Which I had no problem doing earlier. Now a blue screen is flashing up (to fast for me to read) and the laptop just restarts.

Press F8 before OS begins to load and choose "Disable restart on system failure" and tell us what the blue screen says.
