especially the "start" touch button. have to mess with it for a while before it will work! occassionally it will work first touch but that's all. Its a SHARP R247. 6yrs old. Not old i'd have thought. My mam has hers for nearly 18yrs and it's perfect! Can it be fixed or dumped?

The touchpad is probably failing. With the price of domestic microwaves, its not worth doing much with any that have any faults that require parts or service to them.

Ok that's what I thought. I can cope with it for another while yet. Thanks.
