Hi all, Have been offered a Sony KDL 40W2000 Tv working perfectly for €350 for my new place.
Firstly will it pick up Saorview?
Is it worth buying or should i spring the extra couple of hundred for a new tv?

    No, it's MPEG-2 only.

Also, while they are a good TV in general (I bought one myself back in the days when they were €1500 ), a lot of this particular model suffered from a weird ghosting that means that black are not as solid as they should be. There's a lot of very good and reasonably priced new teles out there that are Mpeg4 and I'm sure there are Saorview certified and Freesat capable ones too!
