hi my laptop is 2 years old, its nothing special the questions i have are more in hope that i can do this, i am also a pc gaming noob so go easy :P

so i have black ops on my laptop the start up is grand and plays perfect then i get to the main menu its all laggy like its skipping and its just awful...when i start campaign it gets a little worse, i turned in game shadows and bullet holes off etc but no difference, i have only black ops running at that time, when i open task manager and go to performance while on black ops it says CPU is at 100% so im just guessing my laptop just isnt good enough to play games like that?

it wont bother me much cos i play ps3 for gaming, but woulda been fun to play black ops when not at home like, damn ****ty laptop :o

Although that program won't help if your CPU\Graphics Card and Memory are a bit crappy.

If it has "integrated graphics" you can pretty much forget about playing modern 3d games on it.

When the menu is lagging you can be pretty certain your laptop can't play the game. If you want to play a game you could try one of the older CoD like Modern Warfare. Older games might play at low settings, it will probably be so horrible you won't want to play :P

I tried playing Left for Dead on my crappy laptop and with all settings on lowest it was playable, but it looked like there was a horrible fog everywhere. And one part of the game was where a huge horde of zombies come running at you, as soon as that happened my laptop couldn't run it and it basically froze until the attack was once. Not so playable :P
