can you get a speakers for a car that dont have the big circle thing sticking out the back.i want it for an old tractor and am going to mount it on the side of the mudgaurd so want something that you can bolt/ screw in directly into the metal without having to cut out a big circle for the cirlce thing. is there any ones available with moulding which covers the circle bit and lets you attach it to something flat if ye get my drift.

I've seen old ones designed for the rear parcel shelf that sit proud so you didn't need to cut the shelf.

The 'circle thing' on the back is the speaker magnet, without which you don't have a speaker.

Why not make a little wooden box to house the speaker and mount that where you want.

Just mount it on the ceiling?

Getting a speaker that shallow will compromise its lowend and general output.
If you are not too bothered about looks, Halfords sell speaker spacers for the Mark 4 Golf.

This would let you mount the spacer to where you want and then mount a decent speaker to that.

    EDIT:
didn't mean to quote you there, boards on mobile takes some getting used to. The reply button always quotes.
