Gun dog advice

    Hi all, thinking about gettting meself a gun dog and training it myself.. can any 1 recommend and books or info about training a gund dog and which breed would be best to get...:D

    What type of hunting do you do and what type of ground do you hunt over???

    Looking for any free material on training a labrador form basics to rough shooting.... Cant seem to find anything on the internet..

    Don't have any books etc, but the advice I give to everyone is to go to dog obedience classes. Better than sending a dog off because they train you how to train the dog if you get me. Far as I'm concerned a good 70% of field training is plain and simple obedience. Once you have this covered progress onto the hunting bit. Hope this helps a bit
