Braces Hurt When Eating

    How's it going guys,

Had braces put on my 7 front teeth on the top a couple of days ago, and I'm finding it sore to eat with my front teeth.

I've been sticking with soft stuff and just putting it into my back molars to chew, but I end up looking like a fool.

Anybody know when the pain kinda fades and you can eat properly?

Should start to fade soon, mine stopped after about a week and a half, but I have them on all teeth.

Will take some time, for me it was about 2 weeks before I ate anything that required teeth exert any great pressure

Top 7 could only be done so far to work with the other appliance I have to widen my upper jaw, and to bring my lower jaw forwards, I'll be getting the full whack in a few months time, jaysus I'm ****ed then :pac:

I'm only messing with you, you'll be surprised how quickly you adapt and it'll all be worth it in the end.

    Good luck,

    From my own experience:
Oh, do they Hurt when they're first put on!
But then the pain eventually subsides and eating gets much easier.
Just be careful about eating certain foods or they'll get severely jammed in your braces or break a bracket. Your orthodontist should tell you which ones to avoid. (This will suck too because some of the foods will be ones you love, and you will miss them for a while.)
It also got uncomfortable each time they had to tighten my braces. But the pain is never as bad as the first time, and it disappears more quickly than the first time.
I had braces for three years, but time flew by. I have never, ever regretted getting braces. People now comment on what a great smile I have. And you'll have one too.
    Don't Worry!! :):D
