Lone Parent

Hi, Don't want to dig too much into the story but hoping someone on here will know the answer. Basically I have a child and myself and the mother share days, I have him 3 days the first week and 4 days the next so every 14 days I have him for 7. I had to fill in a form for Social Welfare and I done that stating what the situation was with the child. I had never claimed money for him from social welfare and I even had money transferred from my account into her account every week. Turns out the mother hadn't said anything about me on her social welfare claim and stated she had the child everyday of every week. So she has been getting full lone parent since the child was born. As far as I know she is in big trouble with them. What I would like to know is am I entitled to claim on half of what she has practically scammed from them? Would be nice to get the child's room done up for him.

Again just to clarify, I wasn't claiming anything for the child and was only filling out the form truthfully. I had no idea she was doing this. I'll be going to the welfare office Monday to inquire about the whole issue, Just wanted to know if anyone here think's I'll be wasting my time with it? Thanks for any input.
