    Hi,

My car failed its nct today on its lambda reading.

Its a 99 corolla petrol, lambda reading came out at 1.04, supposed to be between 0.97-1.03.

Any ideas as to what the problem is?

As far as I know these go for around 150-300 for the Corolla.

But isnt it a possibility that the exhaust just has a hole in it?

It could be a possibility so I'd advise to check the car out with a mechanic. Plug it into the computer and see if there's any errors on the oxygen sensor (lamdba). If there's none, check the exhaust.
