What does anyone suggest I should get in writing from the parents of a 16 year old boy who is coming on holidays with my 16 year old son and myself for a week to the U.K that will indemnify us in the event of anything untowards happening to him during this trip. Thanks

If I were ever to allow any of my children to go on holidays with a friends family, I wolud be doing so reluctantly and only under the belief that the other parents would be caring for my child as if he were their own while on holiday. If they were to present me with something like what you are suggesting there is no way I would let my child go.

OP , if you're that concerned about indemnity / ass-covering as you sound then I really would suggest you withdraw the invitation to your sons friend.

    I agree.

I also don't think this is a query for this forum, perhaps parenting?
