Best and worst draft trades

Seeing as I am on a roll with this list stuff! Who doesn't like a good chance to think about the historical moments in the NFL that made or broke franchises.

I guess the best has to be Favre to the Packers...or is that just me with my Packers bias again?

The most famous though is surely the Herschell Walker trade, where Jimmy Johnson used his wheeling and dealing on foot of that move to build the Team of the 90s. So famous it goes down as just "HWT".

The worst is harder to figure, not sure it's as easy as looking at the team that traded the player out - after all it is clear that Favre may never have got a break under Glanville so think he defends that one on the basis that it may have benefitted Green Bay but it did not break Atlanta.

Elway from the Colts to the Broncos turned out to be pretty unbalanced.

But you have to remember that Elway forced that trade and wasnt willing to play for the colts. Interestingly he told the Colts as much before the draft so the fault for this trade lies solely with the Colts.
If you look at that draft class it makes things even worse for the Colts. In the first round players like Eric Dickerson, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino and Darell Green were all selected in the first round and seeing as they had the first pick, and with Elway on the board, they could easily have traded down and selected Dickerson or a QB as well as someone like Bruce Matthews to block or protect for them. All in all the handling of that draft was pretty terrible by the Colts any way that you look at it
