Google Call; free calls to USA from desktop

    Just found a little tweak that enables you to call any US & Canadian numbers (landline & Mobile) free while in Google mail. You can also call any number world wide but have to purchase $10 credit first. In Settings, change language to English (US) and save. Then, down at Chat a green phone icon will apear and you're good to go, click it and a dial pad will appear.

    For anyone with an iPhone there's a free app in the US App store called FreeText, it gives you a US number and anyone, once they've enabled Call Phone, can call you at this number free. Setting up a US iTunes account is pretty simple and you'll find a step by step thread somewhere in Apple Media Devices.
