how do i delete trophy records off my ps3

    ok so the trophy records on my ps3 of games that were crap but i tried for a short time and have stupid basic trophy records on ps3 from them i want to delete
    how can i do this cheers

    You cannot delete trophies that are associated with an account.
    If you platted Hanna Montana, you are stuck with the shame.
    However, you can do another PSN account and only go for trophies that you want.

    psn account ?
    im not playing on line or attempting to get any trophies for online or off line play
    just want rid of them really
    can i not delete them if im not internet connected
    also what is the actuall purpose of them at all ?

    If you haven't synced your trophies -- i.e. if you're not on PSN, pretty much -- then you can delete them by deleting the user account on your PS3.

    However, this will delete all your save game data so be sure to back it up.

    If you play online, you've more than likely synced your trophies, so you're stuck with them forever.

    Create a new account and use your current account to play games your just trying. But if your not bothered by trophies why be annoyed by your lower percentage scores ?

    so the trophy's are pointless then really
    personally just cant see the reason for them
    just another feature for some people willing to try achieve them all lord knows what for
    cheers anyhow

    They are something to show what you have achieved in a game and encourage you to play games in different ways.

    They are no more pointless than video games.

    Yeah if trophies are sync'd they are locked to the account forever - no way of deleting. I did find that one funny if you Plat'd HM stuck with the shame...very funny...to date playing that game warranted more psn msgs than any other!

    If the account was never sync'd then it could be deleted, save files saved to usb stick, setup account again and bingo no trophies.

    Arrgghh trophies pointless, that was like a knife into the heart...lol, they actually help with a number of things, getting the Plat in a game like Killzone2 or WaW is very satisfying, ultimately it means you have to complete certain games on the hardest setting (Elite & Veteran for the aforementioned) and that is worthwhile.
