We have got a two year old west highland terrier called ruby and she is a superb dog. She never growls or shows aggression she loves kids and is extremely playful with other dogs even when they come into the house. All she wants is company and play. We have been thinking about getting another dog for quiet some time my mothers friend has a chocolate lab who is giving birth soon and we are taking one of the pups. Ive done my research on the net and read a couple of books on the breed and just looking for some tips to make sure that my other dog ruby doesnt feel left out or sad about the new pup because she really isnt aggressive in anyway shape or form. Bothe pups will be loved equally and space isnt a problem in the house. Any tips and socialising the two together to make sure they love eachother???

Small sessions to start off with! Only a few minutes together at a time! fully supervised! keep the westie on a lead just incase! and just gradually increase there time together until the pup is strong enough to hold his/her own during play and they can both be trusted to be left alone together :) this has always worked for us introducing our new editions we have a german shepherd an english setter, a cavalier king charles and a jack russel and they all get along no problems :)
