new battery???

    Hi,
    I have an old packard bell easynote e2532 that i want to put back into use. turned it on the other day and it will only work off the mains once i unplug it it just dies.. will a new battery sort the problem or what else could be wrong?? any way to test the battery??

    that battery is mince meat

    a new one will work fine.. li-ion batterys dont take kindly to under charging.

    and no, you cant fix it.


    a normal laptop battery subject to nominal usage might last two years.

    a one left in the laptop while up in the attic for years will be long dead by the time you get back to it

    finally got a new battery still seems to be the same problem any more suggestions ??

    Any chance it could be a faulty D/C port? I am having trouble with my own laptop right now, the charger isn't able to charge the laptop properly as it keeps knocking on and off charge. I put it in for repair, it was fine for a while but broke again, may of been the repair place being useless though.
