I want to lay a footpath from one end of my garden to the other

Unfortunately, (I think), my planned route for this path is directly over my waste pipe. Does this have any effect on proceeding and if i can proceed what precautions must I take?

The pipe is quite close to the existing footpath levels - maybe 6-8" from the top of the pipe to the top of the footpath

Putting a path over the pipe will be ok afaik, but not if its in direct contact with it.

So long as you're not covering an AJ with it it should be ok.
