Major problem, it dosnt tell you when the flight arrives at the destination. It also redirects you to the website to book fares.

Most likely because Apple demand a slice of in-app purchases on their walled garden platform...

The Android app also directs you to the website for booking having shown you the fares.

    They don't

Most likely because of development cost.

They do. 30%. Rather a massive amount to lose on a flight.

Trust me, they don't get any revenue share on flight bookings.

its in in-app purchase. There's no exemption for tickets in the developer agreement I've seen in work

So you think all of the other airlines with iphone apps are kicking back 30% to Apple ? No chance.

I'd imagine a large airline can negotiate their own discounted deal but ei aren't quite an American airlines or klm in scale. Apple will want - and take - their pound of flesh.

An in app purchase is an upgrade to the app such as extra features, or new content for games etc. It doesnt include purchases made through the app. Apple aren't taking 30% of all flights/pizzas/electronics bought through apps, they take 30% of the cost of the app and 30% of in app purchases (upgrades/extra content)

100% correct, could can buy what ever you want in app without paying apple if you're using your own payment gateway (I work for a mobile application development company, who happen to specialise in the travel industry). You pay apple for using their services.
