Just got a letter today from the DSFA saying my payment will no longer be paid directly into my bank account. It seems I'll need to go to a post office of my choosing and collect it there. I heard nothing about this on the news or anywhere. Has anybody else got this letter?

I filled in the letter with my signature and the post office I want to collect my payment from and handed it in earlier today. However it's just occurred to me does this mean I will no longer have the monthly sign on procedure at the dole office? I mean I'll be signing each week at the post office to collect the payment. This would be great as that monthly sign on is the most soul destroying thing ever.

Unless expressly told otherwise you will have to continue signing every month as usual.

you will still have to sign on every month, the reason for them moving your payment to the post office is to stop welfare fraud.

I usually get paid on Friday so I presume it will still be there tomorrow?

So the changeover has happened already??

In the letter sent to me they said the week beginning the 29th of August. They said it would be there from Tuesday to Friday. I usually got it into my account on Thursdays.

Phew..it was there this morning :)

The lady in the Post Office said she hadnt been told anything about it and only found out why there were so many people in,when she asked a customer!

Anyway, alls well that ends well. Turns out because I get paid on Friday, the money stays on the system until the following Tuesday.
