    Hi all,

My boyfriend has a soon to be 11 year old daughter. She says she wants to come and live with us but her mother says no. They have joint custody at this stage and just wondering when can a child legally decide where they want to live permanently?

    Thank you.

When they turn 18. Until then the parents decide.

I think its 16 maybe its younger or older not sure if it is then its probably 15 or 17 or 18. It wouldn't be any younger than 14 I'd say.

I'm pretty sure it's 14. You could phone a solicitor and ask as I'm sure they'd know.
