As the title says: Did anyone buy Salami at the Tall Ships in Waterford ?

He was an English lad and the website address to purchase more salami was on the side of a plastic bag that he gave us.

So here is where we are at:

    • Salami gone
    • Bag gone
    • Need Salami
    • Please Help

I think that the word Cottage was in the website address and it was .co.uk

I really would have thought so if it had said "did anyone hide the salami during the tall ships?" the proper response would have been to wait and see if the birth rate goes up next March! Then you would know lots of people hid the salami during the tall ships festival! lMFAO

I was expecting to read about infected salami and ensuing zombie invasion. Bit disappointed tbh.

They will send them to you direct I think, but also you could try Ardkeen is you are based in Waterford - if they don't have them, i am sure they would get for you...

I cannot find the bag they came in, but fear not my friend, I'm trying self hypnosis to help me remember.

    I'll report back soon

After following up on mhge's thread I emailed Waterford City Council and got the list of traders for the festival.

    http://www.continentalcottage.co.uk/ is the website.

Thanks to all who helped on the search.

You wouldn't say that if you had tried the salami from that stall. I kept talking to him for about 15 mins just so I could keep picking up bits and stuffing my gob.

Its a fair taste-bud sensation alright, The Dunnes or Lidl Pepperoni and salami just dont seem to hit the spot any more.

At first I used to just have one the odd weekend, maybe a lidl or dunnes blend. Soon though I was hitting up those badboys midweek, expensive Superquinn and Ardkeen stores varieties, sometimes three or four days on the trot. I started missing work, had no interest in family or friends, sport went out the window.
Then the tall ships arrived, bringing with them hardcore German salami. Days on end went missing, I woke up one morning in a ditch, naked and covered in salami wrappers and bits of string. Now its like there is only one thing I can think about. ... I need them. My credit card is maxed out on salami, my skin is starting to turn red from the paprika and chili.
    Help me, help me please........

This thread has me reminiscing about the stall with the whiskey cheese. Can't recall the name of the stall but the cheese was fab... I'd imagine it would go quite well with that Salami too!

Whiskey Cheese Eh ? Let me check the list of vendors.

Yes, that's the stuff, his stall was down near the navy ship towards the bridge. I think 'creamery' was in the name of his store but can't be sure! Nice stuff though!

There's a place in Terenure called "Downey & Sons" in Dublin that sells kangaroo steak. I buy stuff there every time a BBQ comes up. The stuff comes packaged. They usually have some in, but I suppose you could ask if they'll mail it to ye ^.^
    Drop them a mail @ http://www.organicfoodsireland.com/contact.php

I've tried grilling it, and BBQing it. It tastes better cooked on the BBQ. Doesn't taste as good on the grill.

    Hello sir,

With regard to the German salami packs odered from our website for the cost of £22.99, we would advise that after making enquiries, we are unable to post any packs to Southern Ireland. We do state that on our website UK only. The costs involed actually double the price of the salami. We have therefore refunded the full amount paid by paypal.

    Thank you
