Remember having to find stats on that website last year for a project, great website for info but not necessarily easy to find what your looking for.

I use it all the time and generally find it brilliant but sometimes it just doesn't have some stuff you expect or puts it in a funny place.

I can't for example, make it show me a country's main trading partners - all it does is show me two categories (EU and outside the EU) when I am looking for something more specific.

The little nuances in methodology between Eurostat and our CSO can be especially annoying.

Google Public Data Explorer is a great source for data which includes Eurostat datasets as well as those from a number of different sources, it was mentioned recently enough in the Economics resources thread and is a fantastic tool, we need more of this.

Intertesting, I have used google data for currency fluctuations in the past (one of the few places that gives you the $/euro rate in the nominal form).

The language used is certainly a little clearer - I'll bear it in mind - thanks.
