Woodcock numbers this summer

    HAs anyone else noticed a good number of woodcock roding this year? Last night I saw 3 flying together at dusk with lots of squeeking and jinking. A week or two ago I saw one chase another away also at dusk. Other years, I've only seen single roding cocks.

    Maybe I'm just getting out more.

    iv seen a good few around my area .there seems to be more of them staying put the last few years

    they used to but in recent years there has been a lot more staying all year round
