Teaching Business on its own

I do apologise if this has already been discussed but new to Boards and have no idea how to navigate it.

I just got forms back from the teaching council. enquired about Economics and Business to teach Post Primary. I qualify to teach Business but not Economics (35 credits short). Im currently working in IT.

Is the demand big enough for someone who can only teach Business or would i need an extra subject to have any hope of getting anything?

Any help will be very much appreciated from anyone.
    Thanks alot

I'm not a secondary teacher but I've read it hear many times that there's a pretty big oversupply of business teachers in general.

No harm applying for any business teaching jobs that come up while at your current job. You never know a school in your area might be delighted to get a business teacher . But don't give up your job until you have the teaching job :) Also might be worth your while topping up those credits with the open university or taking on a language with it !
