Was going to have a go at the plugs during oil and filter change but on looking at the four plugs it seems you cannot get square on to two of the plugs because there is metal thing(techy term) with fuel lines running of it over it and the well they are in seems very narrow.Anyone any experience of this?

Are you sure you're accessing the spark plugs via the top cover and not for example the fuel rail?

Apart from the alu panel on rocker cover, a section of air trunking heading for the throttle body needs to be removed, and it is designed for an easy removal.

Thanks for reply Samih, your right,i just was looking at it and found 4 leads going in to 4 wells at the side and assumed i had found what i was looking for and seen that fuel rail on top and was wondering what was going on,opened up the cover and had a peek without taking of the air pipe and there they are, there is no haynes manuel for this model and thats my excuse and im sticking to it;),things looks a lot simpler now, thanks a lot.
