The Boys Are Back in Town is an exciting new pageant, commissioned by Dublin City
Council, celebrating the life and work of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy. MaSamba Samba
School will use Music, Dance, Movement and colourful costumes will be used to animate some of the classic Thin Lizzy songs, making the Grafton St. area of Dublin Phil Lynott’s stomping ground once again.
The event is scheduled to take place on Sat. August 20th (Phil Lynott’s birthday), starting on South King Street (outside Gaiety Theatre), processing down Grafton Street, and finishing at the iconic Phil Lynott statue on Harry St. Involving over 100 personnel, you can look forward to hearing classic songs such as ‘The Rocker’, ‘Emerald’,
‘Chinatown’, ‘King’s Call’ and, of course, ‘The Boys are Back in Town’. Chorus singers, head bangers and air guitarists are all welcome to join us!
