    Hi,

Basically I have a UPC bill in my name and I am moving house at the end of the month. My flatmates will be taking over the bill, is it easy to transfer name and bank details? Do I have to contact UPC or my flatmates as they will be taking on the bill. also our 12 moth contract is up at the end of the month as well, my flatmates don't want a new package as they intend on moving in a couple of months as well, will it be possible for them to just extend my agreement?

Just looking for some advice on this.

    Thanks!!

    In a word. NO
I had a disaster of a time trying to get the name changed and bank account changed from my gf to mine.
They will need you to send in a letter asking for this to happen and you are effectively in a new contract.
In my case they cut me off! They took the letter as me looking for a disconnection even though I had rang up looking to change name and they told me to send it in writing.
Changing the account can be quick though by filling out the online direct debit mandate form.

id either cancel the account and if you flat mates want it then they will have to sign up unless you trust them enough to pay you the money.
Dont forget you still have to give them a months notice in writing to disconnect.

I tried this before and got no where.

Basically you will need to cancel your account or move it with you. moving will need 2 weeks notice I think. Cancel is 30 days.

I tried to change the name and they told me it cannot be done that way. Either move, cancel and get your flat mate to order a new package with them if he chooses.
