s.e asia or south america

    i am planning to travel later in the year and dont know will i go to either s.e asia or south america or maybe even central america. i will be gone for about 3 to 4 months. anyone with experience in any of these places on here. i will be on a low budget so you could go into daily costs and thing like that it woud be a great help. sound

    they're both completely different and both awesome. if the budget is very tight, asia is definitely cheaper

    South America, incredible!!!!
    Asia was my 2nd trip so it was never going to be as good as the 1st one(if u get me)
    But both have to be witnessed for sure.

    Yes, both are great in their own ways. Perhaps SE Asia is, on balance, safer and easier to do things as a tourist. However, only some countries in South America are actually dangerous; mostly you just get unlucky (as I did). The only thing is, except for Bolívia, certainly the Southern Cone is more expensive than SE Asia; Brasil, Chile, Argentina are all pricy enough, Bolivia cheap, and Peru somewhere in between.
