of Oct this year does that mean I could be eligable for a grant for the second semester of this year or would they consider givng me the full grant i am waiting to hear back from VEC? I am a mature student really struggling as i dont qualify for bte and when you get your grant does that mean your fees get paid??

    Depends when the course starts
To be eligible for a student grant you must be legally resident in Ireland for at least 3 of the 5 years immediately before the date on which a year of study commences on an approved course

The grants generally pay the student contribution fee yes

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
