Hi everyone, just wondering does anyone know of a pool near the Navan Road/Ashtown area?

I want to train for a tri Im doing at the end of the month, I checked out the NAC but it seems quite expensive- Can you get a month membership there or anywhere?

If youre doing a triathlon Id suggest you get used to swimming in a lake or river.....not in a nice heated pool.... ;-)

    Isn't there a pool at St Vincent's?

    There's also Coolmine. And Westmanstown.

Coolmine has lane swimming from 7am - 8.30am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

    I think it's €3.50 per swim.

Thanks for the replies, Im near Finglas pool also but they make the pool shorter after 9 or 10 to a 15/20m pool which seems a bit crazy! Was hoping to get somewhere that would have lanes open during the day.

Maybe Coolmine would be fine. Does anyone know if st vincent de paul and the swimming pool in the school of the deaf on the navan road are still open, also I think theres one in glasnevin?

I know the tri is only 400m but I am anxious as its in the lake at the end of the month. Im a strong enough swimming but just need to build up the amount of lengths I can do without stopping. Its hard to train in a lake safely on your own. Any tips would be great!
